What to Keep in Your Car for Your Dog
How many times have you been somewhere and said “I forgot that at home” or “I wish I had that!”? It happens more often or not for me, and that’s why I keep a small “dog bin” in my car. This way my pup won’t be without his favorite things or things he needs wherever we go.
Whether your taking a short drive to the park or going on a full road trip adventure, you’ll need to keep some essentials in your car for both you and your pup. Here’s what to keep in your car for your dog so you never have to worry about forgetting something.
1. Portable water bowl
Stay hydrated no matter where you roam. The Outward Hound Port-A-Bowl dog bowl fits 48 oz and folds flat to easily tuck into a backpack, pocket, or purse, providing an accessible and convenient option while travelling or exploring the outdoors! You can even use this for dry food if you don’t have a bowl or fun feeder with you.
Pro tip: Have a bag of food in your car’s designated “dog bin” just in case you can’t run home and have to feed your pup on the go.

3. Fetch dog toys
You definitely don’t want to drive all the way to the park without something for your pup to play fetch with! That would be a travesty. Keep some basic tennis balls and buoyant fetch sticks in your car so you don’t have to go looking for a solid stick to throw.
4. Something to chew
Remember that stick I mentioned? If your dog likes to chew on sticks, it’s best you keep an actual chew toy in your car to avoid a trip to the vet.
5. Poop bags
Always have plenty of poop bag wherever you go with your dog! Never be in a position to have to awkwardly walk away when you’re dog has done his business because you forgot a bag. Every dog parent has to scoop the poop. It’s the law!
